Each group is encouraged to elect a Group Service Representative (GSR) who is the link between the group and the area. The GSR attends the Area Council meeting each month. The GSR informs the area about any needs the group may have, provides 7th tradition and H&I donations to the area treasurer, and may make token and literature purchases for the group. In addition, the GSR should carry the information back to the group as to what is going on in our fellowship at the area and world level.
